DESCRIPTION
Operation of presses in various degrees of size and complexity in order to obtain maximum production according to established quality standards.
Responsibilities
* Ensures that production goals are met.
* Directs or assists in directing the crew.
* Obtains and maintains register during the make-ready and productions processes.
* Assists in changing required plates, blankets or cylinders.
* Assists with training of new crewmembers.
* Adheres to and promotes all safety policies and procedures including, but not limited to the proper handling of hazardous waste, lock out - tag out rules and hearing and eye protection policies.
* Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
* It is the responsibility of all Solution Delivery employees to follow the requirements of their documented process as defined in the ISO Quality Manual.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Previous experience in the operation of a printing press or work in a printing environment preferred. Some experience in the operation of various hand tools including line gauge, loupe, plate wrench, blanket wrench, brush gauge, ink knife, chisel and punch preferred.
40 ' Heidelberg and Mitsubishi 6/c Sheetfed Press experience preferred. Ability to obtain and maintin register and color.
Must be available to work evenings, nights and/or weekends. Overtime and holiday work required as necessary.
