DESCRIPTION
Operation of presses in various degrees of size and complexity in order to obtain maximum production according to established quality standards.
GENERAL DUTIES:
Give work direction to Assistant Operator, Rolltender and Packers
Ensure the effective operation and maintenance of the press
Obtain and maintain register during the make-ready and productions processes.
Meet production goals, from a quantity and quality standpoint
Assume responsibility of entire operation of press
Assists in changing required plates, blankets or cylinders.
Assists in lining up ribbons, setting fold, adjusting roll mechanisms, tension and guide devices.
Assists with training of new crewmembers.
Adheres to and promotes all safety policies and procedures including, but not limited to the proper handling of hazardous waste, lock out - tag out rules and hearing and eye protection policies.
Responsible for following the requirements of documented processes as defined in the ISO Quality Manual.
Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS
REQUIREMENTS:
Must have midstream die cutter experience.
Three years experience in the operation of a printing press and/or inline finishing press work in a printing environment.
Proficiency in changing plates, ink, registration and ability to make adjustments on finishing line.
