DESCRIPTION
GENERAL DUTIES:
* Read and understand manifests and ensure that manifest corresponds to product being produced.
* Read and understand Postal requirements as they pertain to mail packaging. This includes the following.
* Rubber band usage versus usage of slip sheet.
* Routing differences between 3 digit, 5 digit, carrier route, ADC, and mixed mail trays.
* Minimum and maximum height of finished pallets.
* Usage of manual versus machinable code on tray tag.
* Inspect product against job bag for quality defects including incorrect lay-out and/or printing and incorrect folds.
* Pack and band product and sort into batches, packets and pallets based upon manifest and tray tag.
* Correct mistakes as they occur involving mismatched address on imaged product with manifest/tray tag address, incorrect distance between bar code and print and/or between OEL and address.
* Count trays on pallet and compare with manifest to ensure correct pallet count/weight.
* Document progress and issues/resolutions regarding manifest to ensure proper pass-down between shifts.
* Other duties as requested or assigned.

REQUIREMENTS
* Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs. continuously.
* Ability to read, write, and understand English.
* Ability to exercise basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
* Ability to read a standard ruler.
* Ability to visually identify and inspect detailed product for defects.
* Ability to stand for sustained periods of time.
* Ability to coordinate hand and foot movements to operate staple machine.
