DESCRIPTION
Produces high quality offset plates and follows approved ISO procedures in all functions necessary to produce plates.
Responsibilities:
- Makes conventional and CTP plates under the direction of the Tech II or Tech III
- Punches and bends plates using automatic and manual benders and punches
- Verifies all job information to ensure that correct plates are being used
- May operates scanner to produce digital files for use in CTP processes. This includes preparing and loading film for scanning.
- Verifies that customer supplied proofs match film output
- Inspects film prior to platemaking
- Adheres to and promotes all safety policies and procedures including, but not limited to the proper handling of hazardous waste, lock out - tag out rules and hearing and eye protection policies.
- Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
- It is the responsibility of all Solution Delivery employees to follow the requirements of their documented process as defined in the ISO Quality Manual.
REQUIRED SKILLS
* Previous printing experience preferred.
* Familiarity with the use of Vacuum frame, processor, computer, punch, line gauge, and razor blade.
* Must be able occasionally life up to 50 lbs.
* Must be able to work in a team environment.
* Ability to read, understand, and carry out out written instructions.
* Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions.
