DESCRIPTION
Performs all tasks in make-ready, preventative maintenance and production run assigned by the schedule and or shift supervisor.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
To operate your assigned equipment in accordance with the manufacturer specifications and guidelines.
Perform all tasked required by the job jacket to make-ready the job according to the production schedule.
Thoroughly read and comply with all special instructions and specifications listed on the job ticket applying to your area of responsibility prior to running the job.
Prepare a job approval sheet meeting the requirements for QA sign off prior to running the job.
Document all new jobs on a work history form once the job is approved.
Monitor the production through out the run for quality, maintaining all required samples as designated in your procedures.
Read and be familiar with all documented procedures within your area of responsibility.
Perform all required preventative maintenance in accordance to the production schedule.
Provide feedback to your immediate supervisor on any concerns with your equipment or jobs you run.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and press.
Requires knowledge of printing procedures, materials, equipment and safety requirements and skills to perform assignments. Skill to read and understand job specifications to determine press set-up materials needed to run the job successfully. Must have sufficient knowledge of press capabilities to determine the most approrpiate use of the press and corrective adjustments required to run efficiently.
REQUIRED SKILLS
1. High School Diploma or equivalent
2. Two years experience in Flexography
3. Familial with color, color software and spectrodensitometers
4. Basic computer knowledge
5. Good math skills, time management, verbal and written communication
6. Experience with hot stamping, rotary screen or cold foil strongly preferred
