DESCRIPTION
The application developer will be part of the Investment Markets group and will assist in product development and support initiatives. The individual will adhere to the established standards, processes, procedures and tools throughout the software development life cycle.
The individual will be required to create design documents, adhere to technical architecture and work with various internal and offshore development teams and report the health of ongoing projects back to the management.
Responsibilities:
The individual will be responsible for:
* Provide timely support to mission critical products.
* Communicating to both technical and non technical people the pros and cons of design choices.
REQUIRED SKILLS
* 2+ years of experience developing and implementing enterprise-level, n-tier, web-based, software solutions using Microsoft technologies.
* Experience in designing solutions using Microsoft technology stack.
* In-depth knowledge of .NET framework and a CLR compliant language (C#).
* Hands-on expertise in designing and implementing web applications and windows native applications.
* Experience in SQL Server database development.
* Thorough understanding of XML, XSD and XSLT.
* Experience with Microsoft Office automation and VBA scripting.
* Problem solving and debugging skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong writing and analytical skills.
* Excellent work ethic with team-player qualities a must.
