DESCRIPTION
The Technical Analyst III leads development and supports order entry and manufacturing system applications based on defined business requirements. Provides support for production systems, including troubleshooting and fixes, and architects solutions. Consults with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify requirements. May be expected to write documentation to describe program development. Participates in the testing process to ensure systems meet business requirements. May participate individually in implementing enhancements or as a part of a project team. Takes direction from Application Manager.

Lead development and support of enterprise manufacturing applications using VB.NET (WPF and Winforms) in Visual Studio 2008/2010 and leveraging Sybase, AS400, and SQL databases. Knowledge of ASP.Net a plus.

Identify performance bottlenecks and fine-tune SQL queries.
*
Flexible to travel within US, Canada and Mexico (up to 20%).
*
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, for interaction with other team members as well as participating in implementation user training, system documentation and help desk support.
* Maintain data integrity and system availability for all supported applications. Monitor help desk queue and provide ongoing support and maintenance for installed applications per customer service level agreements. Some off-hour support required.
* Transform business requirements into comprehensive solutions using the appropriate methods, tools and technologies.
* Adhere to the defined software development life cycle process
REQUIRED SKILLS
* Experience developing large scale enterprise applications strongly preferred.
* Experience in LINQ queries a plus.
* Must possess a thorough understanding of relational database fundamentals.
* Experience with all phases of the software development life cycle (requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, support). Ability to estimate application development tasks accurately a must.
* Must be driven and eager, with an ability and willingness to learn and implement new technologies and software development techniques.
* Development experience in the following areas a plus: ASP.NET, XML, and Crystal.
* Experience leading and mentoring other developers through problem solving and coding.
* Experience delivering quality, on-time completion of technical projects.
* Experience with order entry and manufacturing systems preferred with knowledge of printing industry a plus.
