DESCRIPTION

This position is located off site in Aurora, Illinois, at the client's location.

Oversee manufacturing operations shift with the objective of maximizing productivity of quality products while minimizing costs. Ensure that all processes are being followed in the completion of work tasks. Provide instruction and guidance to employees and audit work processes and products to confirm production specifications are met. Maintain and updates daily production records and produces reports as necessary. Ensure that safety procedures are followed by all employees.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ability to perform all activities within the production area.

Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications.

Directs setup and adjustments of lines and machines

Enforces safety regulations

Recommends measures to improve production methods, equpment performance and quality of product

Analyzes work problems and elevates situation to the appropriate supervisor/manager.

Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.

Maintains attendance and production recores

Confers with personnel from other Departments in order to coordinate activities in production.

Is the peer trainer for new operators assigned to the production area to ensure safety, quality, and production requirements are understood and ensures new operators demonstrate proficiency.

Promotes 5S in the production area and ensures 5S standards are met.

Ensures that all aspects of the Quality Policy and Objectives are understood and enacted.

Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Good oral and written communication skills are required. Ability to read, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedfure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organizations. Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office software to include Excel, Mail, Word, Powerpoint. Experience in operations in ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) environment, and experience in the operation of RF sealing equipment is required. An electronics background specifically related to PCs/Thin Clients and experience in the handling,storage and revision control of electronic images is required. Experience with JD Edwards would also be a plus.
